yes it’s full of tropes and jumpscares and things we’ve seen a million times but it’s also fun as heck. harkens back to 2010s era studio horror and that has big sentimental value for me. several times i squeezed my eyes shut and slapped my friend on the arm and said “jesus fuck.” it’s fun!!! okay!!! therapist from big little lies!! that birthday party scene!!!!! got me.
