The main character in this film is what made this movie unbearable for me, for example, he encounters all these bizarre, strange events occurring right in front of him and still says "oh it's just the wind" or "oh it's just something that can easily be explained" is so fucking annoying, and it's probably due to the actor not giving a shit about his role. I enjoyed Tourneur's other work, but this film didn't live up to the expectations that I had for it and I was looking forward to it!
