Poster analysis first. "This picture could set our space program back at least fifty years!" Did NASA really exclaim that? I'm presuming they mean an individual employee at NASA, not some official press release from the entire organisation. Was his job title simply "NASA"? Maybe he didn't rate a job title, and they just took it from what was printed below his name on his badge.

"The picture that comes complete with a 10-foot-tall monster" - yeah I hate those little plastic toys that McDonalds gives out with Happy Meals promoting movies, but if I was given a free 10-foot-tall monster I think I'd be even more disgruntled! I can't imagine that promotion ran for a very long period.

"An astronaut went up - a 'guess what' came down" - sounds like a naughty joke, but I don't think that's what they meant. Surprise genital appearances would definitely have enhanced this movie.

OK, time for movie analysis. This was a very bad movie. Don't look at me like that, I'm doing you a favour, the poster really is of more interest than the actual movie, and that's not even an exaggeration.
