This was bad. You’re kind of strapped in till the end hoping that something funny or interesting will happen. But like the uninspired lazily pasted in ants it just remains stagnant. Things happen but nothing changes. Problems are presented but don’t need solving. I hate being a CGI basher but the poorly rendered ants just don’t help. At the beginning when the ant talked I had faith. Shitty cgi sure but at least it’ll be funny. 

It was never funny.

They ditch the talking ant as soon as we cut away from it. Too bad.
Beyond that it felt like an excuse for a film crew to hang around Joshua Tree. 
I just had the unfortunate idea to waste my life watching it. What ever.
