"They say that revenge is like a river."

I had to call an audible and pop SALOUM onto my list after all the buzz it generated, and I'm glad I did! It's a sleek, stylish genre-bending romp and I enjoyed it. To be honest it might have been more effective as a straight crime action/thriller -- the horror elements show up rather unexpectedly and late in the game, and are sadly underdeveloped.

That's not to say I did't like the horror parts of it -- really I wanted more, but by the time the film changed its genre I was already hooked anyway. Overall its a really fun ride, and I'm looking forward to what Jean Luc Herbulot comes out with next.

Note: I'm also enjoying this trend of each film I watch being better than the last. Let's keep it going guys!
