Hellbent begins at a classic slasher setting. It’s a young couple at Lover’s Lane, and there’s someone watching with a hook. Well not exactly a hook, but that is my favorite scary campfire story.
Next up we meet a group of friends/victims. They are young dudes looking to party and get laid. A classic slasher set up, but it plays with a fun different point of view.
Another unique part about this slasher is the killer. The killer wears a mask similar to the one from Black Phone, but you never get a good look at him. He’s very brave yet mysterious the way he stalks his prey. The killer is soooo mysterious that he doesn’t even appear in the end credits.
