I think people going into this wanting a lot of bigfoot action will be pretty disappointed. Hell "bigfoot" in this movie was a lot more agile than usually portrayed, he runs faster, he climbs trees like a monkey, he jumps from branch to branch and grabs his victims from above more often than not....so not your typical bigfoot movie. It's also a pretty slow movie, but with some good action moments, but long stretches of people struggling with other problems, besides the monster in the forest. But that's where I enjoyed the movie. I liked all the characters and their backstory. Their interactions with each other were fun. There was enough monster to keep things jumping, but the rest of the time I just really sat their and had a nice time hanging out with these characters.
The shit we put up with in the hunt for a decent Bigfoot film... Almost as elusive as the creature itself.
Out of control wildfires in national parks don't only piss off Smokey the Bear, director Jordan Blum would have you believe they also trigger everyone's favorite homicidal hirsute hominid into hunting humans. Martin (Cobra Kai) Kove is out there, as an obsessed mountain man trying to return the favor, after Bigfoot pilfered his papa on a camping trip decades earlier (probably the last time he brushed his teefers, by the looks of it). The Sass suit is exceptional this time around, and we see the cryptid hauling ass bipedally and quadrupedally here, as well as taking to the trees. Let's see them do that with a baggy Party City Bigfoot costume! Check it out.
Not terrible
Just another basic Bigfoot bad, Bigfoot kill, but wait why Bigfoot do. Savage hits all the basics of the Bigfoot movies with campers, the hunter, and the sheriff/forest ranger all being chased and attacked by Bigfoot. Now where this does at least stand out from most of the other low budget Bigfoot movies we actually see a lot of said Bigfoot. It may not be the best costume, but they at least try and aren't afraid to show off what they have and for that I commend them. However, it's still really not a good movie.
More Yowie than Bigfoot… not that there’s anything wrong with that
When a film has to proudly boast an IMDB user quote on the front of its poster because no one else has anything positive to say, that’s a pretty damning verdict from the get-go. Bigfoot horror Savage is one such example, with an IMDB user proclaiming this “way better than just about any other Bigfoot movie out there.” Clearly the said user has never seen Abominable. But the Bigfoot sub-genre has never been one to set the world alight and despite a slew of Sasquatch-related horror films over recent years and with the exception of Abominable, it’s been painful to experience.
Savage is a film that rarely lives up to its title. A promising opening scene in which fire fighters…
Tubi roulette brought me here. Bigfoot lunges into a window so smoothly. Robert Pralgo Looks hot. Enough for me
