Cassandro is my favorite film of Sundance 2023 so far. Gael García Bernal is effervescent — electric in the ring, oozing with sensitivity and sincerity exploring Saúl's life beyond it. A hugely effective film about finding his truth, holding tight to it, and inspiring others in the process.
