Another terrific genre fare from the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock's Dial M for Murder tells the story of a former tennis player who discovers his wife having an extra-marital affair, devises a foolproof plan to murder her, and blackmails one of his acquaintances into carrying out the act. But when things go wrong, he is left with no choice but to improvise.

Expertly directed from start to finish, this film remains one of Hitchcock's most enjoyable & entertaining works and features a tightly structured plot that is fine tuned by its cut-throat editing to engage the viewers in solving the investigation for which the director provides ample clues yet never more than what's available to the characters in the story.

With a plot full of twist, turns & confessions, strong performances from Ray Milland, Grace Kelly & Robert Cummings, and exhibiting admirable craftsmanship in every filmmaking aspect including cinematography & music, Dial M for Murder marks another home run for the master storyteller who made a career out of crafting only intensely gripping & thoroughly entertaining thrillers. Strongly recommended.
