Inspired by Michael's wonderful idea for a list.
Just to show you how I've changed, this list is the oldest favourites list of mine I can find. I found it in the notes on my phone and it was last updated on the 5th January 2014.
I have posted this list in the order it is written on my phone, and I presume it is ranked. However, on my phone, I placed the films in tiers so it's possible the films within each tier were unranked. So, these are the tiers:
Tier 1: #1 - #5
Tier 2: #6 - #10
Tier 3: #11 - #20
Tier 4: #21 - #32
Tier 5: #33 - #49
Tier 6: #50 -…

For context: this was in January 2014. I hadn't even seen 500 films at the time, maybe not even 400. I was 18 and not at university yet. I had been watching films as a proper hobby for only about 2 years. I never really watched films as a kid or young teenager and I never had a phase of liking action blockbusters or anything.
Oh, and why is it actually a top 149? I wrote American Beauty down twice and must not have noticed at the time.
Today (03/07/19) only 43 of these films make my favourites list.
