The movie is otherwise so good- the chemistry between Indy and Shorty (which for me is the heart), the cart sequence, action stuff, John Williams magic. But it is so racist damn with all the orientalism and the white savior complex not just Indy (it's his film of course) but even the British being shown in good light as helping in the end. Amrish Puri is maniacal as always and a perfect casting, Roshan Seth is nice in support. Deeper research into Indian mythology could've given a mystery, something better than a bloody cult.

kane parSONs successfully tries to reach the uncanny valley with Backrooms. It is eerier than it is scary, the whole atmosphere and tension created in scenes comes out as the work of someone who knew exactly what he was doing. It surely does lag at a few points but the overall package is very immersive. Writing wise the supporting characters from AKOTSK and Shrinking are not given much to work with but they sell the threat. The whole- disturbed man…

Inde Navarrette is an absolute fucking queen! Oh what an astonishing insane performance! Curry Barker is a madman for making this at 26 and having Charlie Kirk star in it. Scared the shit out of me so many times and this is after it was butchered by the stinkers at CBFC. Fuck them. Modern horror is in great hands, it's shining.
