Fuck all you lot complaining about this needing a kiss. The dialogue was brilliant and full of heart. This film felt very real and profoundly intimate. It left nothing more to be desired. This a film about working class lesbians in Huddersfield. This is a film about class in Britain. This is a film about a sensitive young boy wishing his mother was happily living with his favourite teacher because he's happiest when they're all together, eating biscuits.

I was beyond impressed, I did not expect something that was so clearly stylised as an artsy male-gaze to be as profound in its writing. It provides excellent pointed social commentary on the bourgeois class, the commodification of the female body, perhaps commentary that does not translate well to a nevertheless very different bourgeoisie, religious structure and advancement in women's rights of the United States of America.
