My first #SlasherSaturday. Thank you for having me aboard NotAnnaFaris!
This is my first time seeing Vincent Price in such a major role, and my first time seeing him do Shakespeare. Absolutely a pun intended here. He slays. He is diabolical, and he delivers the famous Shakespeare monologues splendidly. Diana Rigg is my favorite of the cast. My parents loved The Avengers show when I was growing up. It was often on at our house and Rigg was one of my first movie crushes. So fun to see her do horror.
The kills are creative, the theatrics are entertaining, and the story flows. Plus it is funny. Some of the kills are rather giallo-esque. I had a great time with this one. The film has a rather made for (midnight) TV feel to it, in that some of pacing isn't as polished as I would have preferred. But that is a nitpick. Theatre of Blood is a fun time. I'd love to see it again in better quality.
