The Golden Age of Car Chase Films (1970s)

A tribute to the 1970s car chase film, in all its redneck glory, spilling over a little bit into the '80s. Arranged chronologically.

Bullitt (1968) came a little early, but it was the prototype for this era. Late arrivals like Smokey and the Bandit 3 (1983) and Cannonball Run II (1984) have more in common with the good-ol'-boy car films of the '70s than with slicker productions of the '80s such as To Live and Die in LA (1985).
