”I have to return some videotapes.”
Much more interested in Patrick Batemans’s daily routine and how everything came to fruition from his youth and adolescence if I’m honest. Not to knock the entire rest of the film but Christian Bale’s performance is really the sole savior of the film. I know there’s a part to *why* everything is the way it is, but I just couldn’t grasp much. It’s entertaining for the most part and watching the clam and collected version of Bateman slowly unravel is really the films most interesting aspect. I don’t know if it makes sense on my feelings towards the film I maybe just couldn’t get towards the entire film as well as some others have. Every line by Bale is fantastic and every single time he talks about music is makes me laugh and I had no idea that could happen. American Psycho has its fans for a reason and although I’m one of them, wish there was just a *bit* more to love besides Bale’s performance.
