This couldn’t hold my attention at all and to be fair I had a lot going on. I got the gist of the story and don’t plan on watching it again. I feel I wouldn’t get anything out of the film through a rewatch. Seems like there is a strong domestic violence undercurrent through the whole film. It isn’t explicitly about that, but clearly points to that topic. Honestly the story isn’t that interesting and not much happens beyond the main character acting like a generic gangster. JD’s revenge doesn’t feel like a ghostly revenge film. It feels like a hodgepodge of good ideas with wayyyyy to much salt mixed in. A miss for me but maybe a hit for you.
