A movie where the magic eight ball actually ruled the world.
My list: 😈
This was dumb. But it’s more complicated than that. The animation depending on the way you look at it is pretty impressive with fluid action scenes. However the voice acting varies from scene to scene. Sometimes the lines come off excellently cheesy. Other times they come off sounding like a man in a recording studio.
The monsters are all spectacularly weird. Although the how is all very confusing. I feel like you get a lot of conflicting explanations and exposition leading to nowhere. That may be because I never read the manga. So I’m going in completely blind. I feel like we are thrown into the plot with out any rules to go by. You’re pretty much flying by the seat of your pants the whole time absorbing every bit of info on the way.
Why do I still enjoy this? Because some of this movie is just plain rad. Cool fights, cool monsters and strange weaponry is the name of the game. The ending is baffling and the logic gets twisted when you dive into it. I feel there is a whole act stripped away here, but what you get is entertaining enough:0
