Anthology horror focused on the Black community with a heaping dose of sociopolitical commentary.

A bit uneven but engaging throughout. Utterly lacking in subtlety but that's not exactly what it was going for. The evil and complicit alike get what's coming to them. Clarence Williams III's quiet and restrained performance ties the whole thing together.

Was the first segment's decapitation scene supposed to have gushing blood spray but the effects went awry? Because that little dribble was unimpressive.

Wavering between 3.5 and 4 stars, but the wonderful finale tips the scales upwards.
