”In death there are no accidents, no coincidences, no mishaps, and no escapes.”

As I’ve explored more and more of the more famous horror movie franchises this one was always the one I never really wanted to see. There’s a ton of dislike towards it and every time I see someone watched it, it tends to be a negative review. However, as I started getting deeper into the rabbit hole of horror films I realized that there actually was some love for the film so I added it to the watchlist and here we are. When I tell you Final Destination was everything and nothing like I imagined it’s a good thing.

The film has some of the absolute most 2000’s teenager moments that I have ever seen. Most times it’s downright stupid and doesn’t work, but then there’s the other times where it’s so funny to just remember that people acted like that and everyone plays the part so well. The kills are really what you come for and James Wong delivers on every single one. Right when you think you know *exactly* how someone is gonna die, he flips it all around and the creative nature of the kills has me slightly anticipating the sequels (if I ever get the time). Final Destination is a 2000’s horror movie no doubt and a genuine good time just for the kills.
