Now this is a proper mass masala film. The 1st half felt a little drawn out, but it just makes the 2nd half feel soo good when all the puzzle pieces fall into place and the spine-chilling music starts playing. The action sequences were properly executed with only some VFX sequences pulling you out of the immersion. The performances were impeccable, be it Kamal Hassan, FaFa or VS. The world building, story, characters were all layered and I did feel for them at some point or the other. The cameras were handled great during the action sequences too, reminding me of the fight scene in Bheeshma Parvam.
And Ulaganayagan being The Ulaganayakan sends another great message without interfering with the story.
