This film is unrealistic not because of the aliens, but because it depicts an America government that functions and works. The US right now would respond to an alien invasion by shitposting ai memes of aliens getting plowed by a shirtless muscle Trump, and then declare victory when the aliens blow up New York.

When the White House got destroyed I cheered lmao

A very important noir for me, one of the first ones I remember seeing. A lot of critique that the plot is too complex to follow, but I never had that issue. Bogarts best character and role after Maltese imo.

Feel like the two weirdly incestuous french twins were like... an in-joke between the director and their friends that escaped a group chat.

I remember as a teenager we'd always be like, "oh we'd be so sick as fuckkk in a zombie apocalypse we'd definitely survive" but then someone mentions 28 Days and you'd be like, "Oh no yeah, I'd…
