I'll probably see a lot of great movies for the next few days, but I highly doubt anything will be as good as Broker. Twenty minutes into the movie and I already knew this was going to be a masterpiece. It's probably Kore-eda's most plot-driven film, but it still *feels* like classic Kore-eda. Brilliant screenplay and such an emotional plot. It's just right up my alley.

There is a sequence that takes place in a Ferris wheel partway through the film and I guarantee that scene is going to make entire theaters cry when it comes out. I was shedding tears in that scene and I swear half the theater was as well. IU steals the show. I haven't seen her in anything else but she is the heart and soul of this film. Not a single weak supporting actor in this. The kid was hilarious. Everyone is bringing their A-game here.

Pretty sure they make a Magnolia reference in this too.
