I am at a complete loss for words. I have never seen anything like this film before. I'm pretty sure that I just had one of the most intense and emotional film experiences of my life. I cried within the first five minutes, then I was able to calm down until the last five or ten minutes and could enjoy this amazing film, but that last part really hit hard. I was sobbing and shaking when the end credits rolled. It didn't exactly help that Starman was the end credit song. It might be the most extreme reaction I ever had to a film. And believe me, I react to movies a lot. I was lucky enough to talk to director Brett Morgen after the screening, but I was such a mess in that moment, it was pretty awkward. Luckily he was really nice though.

The title describes this film so well. It's like an abstract dream, in the best way possible. It's far from being a traditional documentary and I love that it isn't. It's just a true piece of art. I have never seen anything by Brett Morgen before, but Moonage Daydream is more than enough to convince me that he is a pure artist. I beg all of you, go watch it when you have the chance, on the biggest screen possible. Even if you're not a fan of David Bowie or don't know much about him, this film is a unique experience that I want everyone to have.

In the opening sequence there was a scene with a girl, probably from the 80s, sitting in front of a concert venue, crying just because she loves David Bowie so much. I am that girl.
