Golden Age Hooptober 8.0: movie 2 with a rewatch. This not so old horror action movie is for the country setting (this is based in and is a Russian film).

So before I finally get around to continue with reading the Watch series books by Sergei Lukyanenko (my review of the first book), I decided to rewatch these favorites movies of mine. I watched Night Watch last month and still love it soooo much.

Movie 2 in this series is more of the Gloom and the Others, along with much more special effects and action. Timur Bekmambetov’s vision with the Watch books is gorgeous. I am bummed that there isn’t more movies of Sergei’s series as it has 6 books! 6 books!! But ya I guess leaving these movies for Wanted with my celebrity crush James McAvoy is understandable. Still I wish they would’ve continued on with the Watch series because the ending of this was way too quick for me. There is so much going on in the second movie. The pacing in the first movie was good, but I have to deduct a half star for the second for the chaotic pace. Really this one is just all chaos but it still sort of works out as done on purpose because of the main character Anton.

In all I really love these 2 movies for the Watch series! The rewatch is good and I noticed so much more of the other characters this time and some that I just fell in love with. Highly recommend these.
