6/8/26 note: I don't know how or why this review got so popular, or why more people are always discovering it. I don't think this is even in my top 500 best pieces of writing, and frankly it's been frustrating to see it get so much attention. I roll my eyes a little whenever I remember that it's a permanent fixture of my page, as I don't love the first impression that it gives.
I always keep the content of my reviews unchanged, to preserve the truth of my younger self; in this case, I'm adding this disclaimer just so that y'all know this review is OLD! I don't usually do such reductive, legalistic "Pros & Cons" reviews. This may be…
Me, watching 95% of this movie:
“Wow, this is both really funny and surprisingly progressive about trans issues. Hard to believe it was made in 1994.”
Me, watching the bizarrely racist scene with the Asian wife:
“Okay, THIS feels like the 90s.”
