Doom-core: A subgenre of film that describes films that display the darkest parts of the human experience, highlighting them and exploring them. (Usually pessimistic in theme and tone.) These are films that go out of their way to make their audience uncomfortable and/or embody the term "doom".

This is a genre of film that I kind of came up with but it's a genre that I'm also very interested in exploring. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm always looking for more films to add so just comment them below.
