Have all the fear, 'cause Hooptober is here! The fifth annual Hooptober challenge is set to begin, and I'm back to give it a go. As with every year, I've added an additional rule beyond the below listed ones, making sure to make my horror selections from films I've never seen or that it's been so long my memory of them is very hazy.
Hoop-Tober comes from Cinemonster and is a horror movie-watching challenge. The challenge begins on September 15th and runs through October 31st, with a goal of 31 horror films watched. This year's rules are reprinted below for simplicity (and also available here):
10 'Anniversary Films' (Release years end in an 8, excluding 2018)

2 flying things that kill you films
1 silent film as a tribute to A Quiet Place
1 aquatic menace film as a tribute to Meg
2 women directed films
1 inanimate object comes alive film
1 film with Barbara Crampton in it.
And 2 Tobe Hooper Films (There must ALWAYS be a Hooper film)
-review them all.(eek)
Clearly one film can satisfy multiple criteria. Viewing and reviewing will begin at 12:01am cst on Sept 15th.
