So many movies out there to watch and I chose to watch this again and I’m not even sure why. It was awful back in 2005 and it’s still awful in 2019. Maybe I was hoping it would have aged well in that certain way a bad movie sometimes can but nah. Still gonna revisit part 5 because I’ve never been one to give up hope.
Be sure to read my very Adderall fueled original review that I posted back on IMDb when this originally premiered because I’m all about embarrassing myself!
"What's all this for?"
"Isn't it obvious? World domination! What's everything ultimately for? Heh heh!"
Thanks to the efforts of the Hybra Tech corporation, no Zombie outbreak has occurred in over a decade. Teenager Julian Garrison (John Keefe) and his brother live with their uncle Charles (Peter Coyote), an employee at Hybra Tech, since their parents died while working for the corporation. However, Charles has gotten his hands on a few canisters of Trioxin and begins to experiment with reanimating the dead ...
Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis is a horror film directed by Ellory Elkayem. It's the 4th installment in the Return of the Living Deadfilm series, a sequel to Return of the Living Dead III (my review).…
This was a pretty big step down in quality from the first 3 movies i didn't really like this one. The zombies looked cheep expect for the two bio weapon zombies that honestly looked pretty cool and were the best part about the movie. The acting was not the best, but the soundtrack was at least decent. Hopefully the 5th one will be better but i doubt it because it also has pretty bad reviews but i'll still watch it.
Overall i wouldn't really suggest this one to a lot of people it was not good, but if you want to see it it's on plex in the us.

THIS is what we waited for? THIS is what we've been given after more than a year of hype? I can't believe how bad this was! It's not funny, it's not scary, it's not even "so bad it's good", it's just "so bad it's really bad"...
We are talking about some grade-z bad direction, I'm not sure what was worse: watching everyone don mining helmets to explore a research facility or watching 2 of the characters test their walkie-talkies while standing five feet apart in the same shot! No wait, the worst was the fistfight (?!) between the talking (?!) zombie and the human...or any scene with the girl in pigtails. Speaking of the characters, this…

Hybra Tech is a massive conglomerate that has it's hands in everything from toxic waste removal to zombie outbreak containment to frozen dinners and consumer products. Everything from processed cheese to napalm! The corporation procures the last six barrels of the zombie causing Tryoxin 5 from the Chernobyl site and begins experiments. Experiments that lead to an accidental leak of the deadly gas and a new zombie outbreak.
Twelve years after the third film in the Return of the Living Dead franchise was released, two more entries would be shot in Eastern Europe and debut in the same year, with Return of the Living Dead: Necropolis being the first of the two.…
I hate that I enjoyed this as much as I did. Mid-2000’s GUI and nu-metal is the cheap way to get my nostalgia penis hard.
- "Atira neles cara"

Next up in my bad zombie movie shtick for the day is Return of the Living Dead:Necropolis. The 4th installment in the series.
Dumb teenage dirtbikers. Multiple zombie fistfights. Talking zombies. Guns that jam when u need em most. Hybrid cyborg zombies with chainsaw n gatling gun extensions. Decent practical effects. Peter Coyote as the demented mad scientist type. Lots of brain munching. Multiple explosions. A neat sequence where a BBQ'd possum ends up eating the hobos that were supposed to be eating it.
It's bad. But in a so bad it's good way. I thoroughly enjoyed ROTLD4 and all of its dumbassedness.
5.5 out of 10
Somehow worse than Rave to the Grave, and that’s saying a lot. This one’s a snoozefest that manages to suck out every bit of campy charm the other follow up accidentally had. Instead of leaning into the absurdity, it actually tries to be serious which just makes it all worse. Lifeless performances, flat direction, and not a single memorable kill to save it. At least Rave to the Grave had some self awareness and goofy fun. This one just drags its undead ass through the dirt hoping you won’t notice. I shall never return.

The original Return of the Living Dead is one of my favorite zombie films. It's two miserable sequels, much less so. They were so bad that I didn't even bother with this fourth film... and, indeed, adding it my watchlist was just an attempt to fill out the zombie Bingo card (and finish a franchise).
But how is it possible it's almost a good film? Hell, before the stumbling, shambling final act, I was gonna give it 3 stars. And that's too many stars for part 4 in a franchise with only one good film.
Don't get me wrong... it's not a particularly good movie, but it was an…
The first of two productions shot back-to-back in Romania to put the final nail in the Return of the Living Dead coffin. I had always avoided these sequels figuring they were generic zombie films with nothing to do with the Return franchise than a cash-in title. Finally braving them fifteen years after the fact as part of a horror marathon for Friday the 13th.... the good news is these actually have plot elements that tie them into the series. The bad news is, they are so much worse than anyone could imagine.
Peter Coyote is a mad scientist who has scored the last canisters of Trioxin; working for an Umbrella-like corporation while raising his two orphaned nephews. When one of…
