There was something so right about watching this on a cold winter’s night, in the dark, under a blanket, with cats curled around me. Just, perfect mood creation to wallow in the eerie beauty of it all.
Fog, pink and green lighting, beautiful people, large crumbling houses, candles, a tuxedo cat, grimaces, outside looking in, a quiet forest, a ringing telephone breaking a silence, psychological torment, doomed curses; its meticulously crafted gothic vibes.
Three stories of ethereal, lavish, pulpy, dreamlike horror. This was my first time watching the American version of the anthology, which didn’t quite work as well at building dread as the Italian one, but you can’t go too far wrong when the bones of it all are that stylish and atmospheric.
It is a horrifying experience to fall into madness when you could have jumped into a dumpster fire aka Seasonal Trash Fall 2025 62. Watch a movie that shares its name with a rock band.
