I can’t say I’m a connoisseiur of the Disney Channel of its original films, so this category was a bit daunting. That said, I chose this apparent Halloween favorite and it was positively delightful.
Sure, this is obviously a kids film with nary a nod to any adults that might be watching and the effects are suitably tame (though effective despite a low budget), but it was certainly fun and brimming with positive energy. I can certainly see my daughter enjoying this in a few years if she gets over the 90s fashion and sensibilities.
There are worse ways to pass 80 minutes and it even left me curious about the sequel which is a sign that the movie worked on me even a little.
