My Giallo List
*********************************************

Oh Lucio....so this is like FlashRipper without the gore or sleaze and yet somehow it still works pretty well.   Stripped of the dance numbers this is about a an hour long Giallo with plenty of red herrings and suspense.  The dance numbers are deliriously fun in an 80s time capsule kind of way, as are the exteriors of a grimy pre-Giuliani NYC that I remember very very well.

It was fun to have Claudio Cassinelli playing a timid cuck for once and the rest of the cast was fine.  I had hoped this would lean more heavily into Fulci’s sweet spots for gore and sleaze, so I was definitely a bit disappointed, but this was still a solid little giallo mixed with Flashdance Italian style.

Jazz hands!!
