Reading some brief write ups when I searched for an above par horror parody, I went in with what seem now like too high expectations.  I’d never heard of this and I loved the conceit that this was a “lost” 80s slasher recorded off of late night cable - complete with commercial breaks.  Well, as I’ve said a few times, they can’t all be winners, but thankfully they’re not all losers either.

I did like the intro sequence with the therapist, but after that the film spiraled down quick and to be honest, were it not for the Scavenger Hunt I probably would have punched out at the 30-40 minute mark.  Whether or not intentional, the acting and filmmaking were amateurish at best and while there were some fun kills peppered through, the rest of the film was almost entirely devoid of charm and all but unwatchable.  

I realize I’m in the minority as most of the people I follow seem to have given this 3+ stars, but to me this was a boring slog.   It was fun to see Olivia Taylor Dudley though.  Love her in the SyFy show Magicians and her cameo in She Dies Tomorrow.

Also this is wayyyyy too long even at 100 minutes.
