It is not really easy to make innovative zombie movies any more. More or less you either make a shitty try or a solid film. #alive is definitely the latter. I really liked how they combined motifs of loneliness and isolation with the zombie iconography, a very reduced but engaging love story and some nice visuals. And if there is one life lesson you can learn from this film: keep your wired headphones around, you never know when you might need them.

Es ist nicht wirklich einfach, heutzutage noch einen innovativen Zombiefilm zu drehen. Entweder macht man einen sehr bekackten Versuch, oder eben einen soliden Film. #Alive ist definitiv Letzteres. Mir hat sehr gefallen wie Motive von Einsamkeit und Isolation mit der Zombies-Ikonographie verknüpft werden. Dazu gibt es eine sehr reduzierte, aber schöne Liebesgeschichte und ein paar tolle Bilder. Und wenn es etwas gibt, das man aus diesem Film lernen kann, dann: behaltet eure Kabelkopfhörer, wer weiß, wofür sie mal gut sein können.
