Tbh, I half-expected this 6th installment to be a lazy cash grab, but the new Scary Movie is an unlikely legacy success that perfectly honors its classic parody roots. It was an absolute joy to see the original cast back together in these iconic characters, delivering that good ol hilarious energy. The filmmakers did really well in capturing the both the magic & the inappropriate essence of the original films, proving that great comedic chemistry never dies.

First & foremost, I came here for Ruthie Camden. & Next in line was a spooky shark, and y'all, this mofugger popped up literally everywhere there was water! From pools to bathtubs to toilets and even a drinking cup - absolute madness. & Pretty decent camp. & So many ppl die. & The sh!tty fx actually work because the shark is s'pose to be see-thru. Ghost Shark ain't no Santa Jaws, but it's still a pretty fun maritime.

Bugonia hits even better on a second watch. Knowing the plot lets you fully appreciate how tragically hilarious the absurdity actually is. The acting is top tier, turning deep paranoia into a brilliantly dark, uncomfortable slice of cinema.
