Read my full thoughts on Ginger Nuts of Horror

I Saw The TV Glow is everything I was promised it would be and more. Gender dysphoria caught in the static on the screen. A haunting homage to our childhood nostalgia and queer media consumption. A powerful call not to waste time.

As my mum said when I described the plot to her "I remember how anxious and depressed you were before you came out... the idea of you feeling like that forever and not knowing why is terrifying."

The Silencing
★★ Watched

At the beginning of this film, a wounded man grunts and groans while he pours whiskey over his injuries and heats a needle to stitch himself back together. I think this is supposed to make me think he is cool and rugged. It actually just made me think he was an idiot for not going to the hospital.

Characters continue to behave this nonsensically for the entire film. The sheriff risks the job she supposedly cares about and attempts to…
