La vie Nouvelle. Nah, La vie 'seen it all before' I'm afraid.

Experimental film making: I get it. There are interesting moments in here for sure, like the dog scene and Melania's singing scene, but for me this was just trying too hard to say something arty and never really came close. Frantic, juddering photography and limited dialogue is cool and all, but it got old real quick.

Speaking of the camera style, it's quite nausea-inducing. Maybe that was intentional, but I ended up looking away to avoid having some kind of movie-induced fit, and hence missed parts. Kinda defeated the purpose... unless that was the experiment of course: to see if people would score this highly even when they'd not really understood what the F it was all about? Hmm...

I'm going to stop there I think. Clearly it hits the spot for some, and I'm good with that. I just feel like I've wasted too much time on this already.

It looked so promising. Shame.
