To love is to consume
Amazing to watch with the crowd I feel like maybe I just watch more modern horrors than most people because I feel like I kind of plotted out the whole movie beforehand going into it. I kinda knew what stuff was gonna symbolize so I didn’t feel as shocked as everyone else, but I love being with shocked people.
A+ for sound design and facial acting though.
The more I think about it the more I get upset and just sad
Like it’s genuinely fun and silly
Yes, there are some technical stuff that I don’t like like how absolutely slow it feels
However
It’s a movie about how you affect your immediate community and how the mentally ill people in your community will always suffer more
And we have to act with awareness and kindness to protect the ones that annoy and love us
they are in love with each other and they are in love with themselves
I understand where a lot of reviews are coming from in regards to the colonialist feelings and concern about the locals
But I find it very important to note that this is made by a native local lesbian woman who had a very positive experience.
I’m not saying there isn’t maybe a conversation to be had but I also am a firm believer and that sometimes a movie just can’t address everything and I have never heard of this place.…
