Who's got two big thumbs and likes both horror movies AND public exercises in accountability? This gal! I'll be participating in my first Hoop-tober challenge starting September 15. Here's how my list shakes out according to this year's rules (yes, I made a spreadsheet):
6 sequels (mix-and-match. 6 total): Day of the Dead, Brides of Dracula, Nightmare on Elm Street 2, Texas Chainsaw 2, Aliens, and Fright Night 2
6 countries: France (Raw, Possession, Diabolique); Iran (Under the Shadow); Italy (Deep Red, The Beyond); Japan (Cure); South Korea (Train to Busan, The Wailing); Turkey (Baskin); United Kingdom (The Innocents, Lifeforce, Brides of Dracula); everything else is American trash

6 decades: I have every decade covered from the 1930s through the 2010s, but most of these are from the 1980s (not intentional, just kind of happened)
6 films from before 1970: Freaks (1932), Cat People (1942), Diabolique (1955); Brides of Dracula (1960), The Innocents (1961), and Rosemary's Baby (1968)
6 films from the following: Carpenter, Raimi, Whale, Browning, Craven, Tom Holland (mix-and-match, or all one): I picked 2 from Carpenter (The Fog, The Thing), 1 from Raimi (Drag Me to Hell), 1 from Browning (Freaks), 1 from Craven (Nightmare on Elm Street), and 1 from Holland (Fright Night)
3 people eating people (non-zombie): Raw, We Are What We Are, and Texas Chainsaw 2
1 Hammer Film: Brides of Dracula
1 Romero Dead film: Day of the Dead
1 terrible oversight: There are actually quite a few on this list (I looked at boxes instead of watching the actual movies when I was younger and have a lot of catching up to do), but Psycho is the most notable one
And 2 Tobe Hooper Films (There must ALWAYS be a Hooper film): Texas Chainsaw 2 and Lifeforce
(You can also review both the original and remake of IT for extra credit, but I don't do clowns) (I might, for extra credit, but don't hold me to it because 31 is a lot of movies already)
I'm also supposed to review, like, all of these, but it probably won't be in this particular order (I did some list-zhushing after I put it in alphabetical order without realizing I couldn't change it back, and the order will largely be determined by how easy these things are to find on VOD/streaming/other old-timey platforms that aren't coming to me at the moment).
Happy six weeks of Halloween!
