My contribution to Cinemonster's fourth annual Hoop-Tober extravaganza.
NOTE: The list below is preliminary and subject to change. And yes, I know it's too long, but I'm too tired to cut it any shorter at the moment. Besides, I need options!

(2) Include films from at least six different countries. - Austria; France; Italy; Japan; Poland; Turkey; South Korea; Sweden; United Kingdom; United States.
(3) Include films from at least six different decades. - Every decade from the 1920s through the 2010s is covered.
(4) Include at least six films made before 1970. - Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein; Cat People; Death by Hanging; Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte; The Nanny; The Old Dark House; The Phantom Carriage; Secret Beyond the Door; Witness to Murder.
(5) Include at least six films from some combination of Tod Browning, John Carpenter, Wes Craven, Tom Holland, Sam Raimi, and James Whale. - This is where at least some of my bloat comes in—my original draft focused on films I own but haven't seen, so I wasn't considering this criterion at that point. Evil Dead; Evil Dead II; Fright Night; The Hills Have Eyes; The Old Dark House; They Live.
(6) Include at least three movies in which people eat other people (non-zombie edition). - Baskin; The Hills Have Eyes; The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
(7) Include at least one Hammer movie. - The Nanny.
(8) Include at least one George Romero "Dead" film. - Night of the Living Dead.
(9) Include at least one "terrible oversight" (see Cinemonster's list for link and instructions). - The Phantom Carriage.
(10) Include at least two Tobe Hooper films. - The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Poltergeist (though I suppose it depends on what you think of Poltergeist's provenance....).
(11) Review them all. - Nope. Given some impending life events, there's almost no way that will happen.
**(12) For those who like to do extra work: Watch the original It and its remake. You'll receive a shout-out in Hoop-Tober 2018.**
This will likely be my lowest output of any Hoop-Tober yet—the first one arrived before I had any children, while this one will start around the time my second son is born. But who doesn't love overdosing on horror films, especially while sleep-deprived? Cheers for Hoop-Tober v.4! (And thanks, yet again, to Cinemonster for putting together such a great idea and for generally being a fantastic human person.)
