A delightful little film about a young lady meddling into other people's affairs with unexpected outcomes and revelations.
Having seen Emma (2020) recently which I felt had a fair share of issues, this TV film proved to be much closer to how I envisioned the original story must be. The Regency era backdrop and the beautiful colours and a less cynical storytelling with quite a few minor changes in treatment of the story makes it a worthwhile watch. Suffice it to say, I am madly in love with the story itself, where everything falls into place quite easily. And I might just have found my Emma.
