Impossible to unsee. Worth it. What the fuck was going on here.

One of the most confusing decisions in Larry Clark's career.

Even when making a monster flick, Clark seems to feel the need to show us copious amounts of teenage sex and depravity.

Softcore Disney channel original where the premise is that some shape shifting monsters just fuck people for the whole movie. I absolutely hate this shit.

Larry Clark's awkward monster movie Teenage Caveman follows six post-apocalyptic young people who get kicked out of their tribe. They wander into a crumbling Seattle, Washington where they're taken in by some good-looking mutants who teach them all about, you know - the stuff Larry Clark likes to put in his movies.

Sorry, I have to be, this really sucked bad. It's borderline unwatchable and potentially one of the 10 most pointless films I've ever seen... I hated it that much. I almost broke my rule of always finishing a movie because it's just soft-core smut geared at teens and there isn't a hint of irony to it, which makes it grating on the senses because you're forced to reconcile the fact that money and time was spent on this complete piece of garbage.

Not worth it, even the 2.4 average is embarrassing.

This is exactly the kind of late 90's/early 2000's YA media that I Saw The TV Glow is about, and I couldn't stop laughing imagining that this was the thing that the character has repressed transsexual identification with:

"Teenage Caveman feels more real than real life."

"If you leave, I won't have anyone to watch Teenage Caveman with."

"When you think back on watching Teenage Caveman, how do you remember it?"

Absolutely bonkers and hilarious. The lead performance is off the fucking charts insane and the special effects are so janky and great. The music actually goes so hard too. Nothing but pure campy entertainment, just as a B movie should be. Larry Clark is a madman and I'm here for it.
