i really don't have much to say about this film.. it really bored me a lot, the runtime felt like a slog to get through, there was way too much scientific bullshit to wade through, i didn't care about a single character except maybe LL cool J and his parrot, and i just really didn't vibe that much with it. i prefer the second installment in the trilogy, as it took itself less seriously and focused on the jokes, and that made it more of an enjoyable watch, in my opinion. but, this is another shark movie checked off the list (and a lot of other lists), and i've now seen the whole deep blue sea trilogy, so i can at least tell myself that it was for completion's sake when i'm looking back on my letterboxd diary at 80 and saying "wtf was i thinking?" with my film and life choices.
