The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
★★ Watched

The animators and Brian Tyler all did great work here, but the rest of the film operates solely to promote Nintendo's game catalogue and not much else. Chock full of first-draft dialogue, characters that disappear as soon as they're introduced (if you're expecting much Rosalina here, don't bother lol) and pacing so breakneck that NO character moment or setpiece is allowed proper breathing room. After all, we gotta throw in more references!!!!!!!

Terrible for all the reasons most post-American Pie sex comedies from that era are terrible. Always desperate to be as "gross" as possible all while a needlessly convoluted story ties the weak gags together. Whether it's the pop-culture sendups…

Space Jam: A New Legacy
Rewatched

I gave this thing 2 and a half stars back in 2021? Yeah, I was on copium because this film is destined to live on as one of the most embarrassing moments in Looney Tunes history. Any satire present in Terence Nancr's original film has been thoroughly stomped out and buried under an avalanche of what I can only describe as "WB jerking itself off". The climax would be the moment where WB accidentally jizzes all over the audience, as…
