In these insane times, I'm perversely enjoying these periodic reminders (see also, with my highest recommendation, Soundtrack for a Coup d'Etat) that America's been fucked for a looooooooooooong time.
Saw an article recently that contended the fall of the American empire began the day the US invaded Iraq, a position suggested also by this film, and wondered what a smug faced Bill Kristol (prominently featured as a talking head here) thinks now of reaping what he sowed. Turns out: not a fan!
Anyway, aesthetically neither here nor there, a mix of media montage and interviews, not quite rigorous and not quite abatractly associative, but a largely coherent evisceration of the military-industrial complex and the cavalcade of liars designated with perpetuating it.
