Although the editing is very bad, it can be watched with the story. There are bad images that go to extremes and I can say that there is no scene without blood. If it wasn't for the ending I would have given it lower.

Well, hi there.
On this rainy day, let's tackle the thriller horror movie 'Tell Me Something', a difficult watch. Difficult because you either need to pay super duper attention or multiple viewings to fully appreciate it.
Severed body parts are being found in public spaces of Seoul, eerily the parts are mismatched. The three corpses lead to a young woman who was involved with all of them and it's up to Det. Cho to figure out the identity of the cold-blooded killer.
Ohh, I was slightly confused at first but when I thought about it for a bit it made more sense and I adore the reveal at the end.…
Love and Massacre: October Watchlist
The preservatives inside me, are now inside you. Simplifying the story for emotion. All procedure; all atmosphere. Spilled from the inside; flesh explodes as it waits to come out. Techno; trip-hop crime-mystery horror. Internal pulp. Digitalized behind the fuzz, the places beyond the mystery, paintings, illustrations; the blood (gore) that's subconsciously placed in the same manner. All inside is the reality that is simply trauma and transparent.
The 1st Korean thriller I fell in love with! I havent seen it since early 2000's and I was so worried it'd be average & overhyped in my head over the years but nah its pretty fucking great.
Gritty, gory, neo-noir detective thriller with a cold as ice femme fatale! Exciting right... A serial killer leaves a trail of bodies chopped up in garbage bags & a quiet museum curator is the key to figuring it all out. It's quite gory, Its paced out nicely, full of delicious red herrings, looks nice and the soundtrack! I absolutely love the Enya ~ Boadicea music drop its perfectly placed for a sad and haunting moment a little more than halfway thru the film when…
TELL ME SOMETHING's nearest English-Speaking cousin is definitely SE7EN, or maybe an edgy Alex Cross film.
It follows Detective Jo's return to the police force after a somewhat curiously scandalous and unfortunately under-explained absence to deal with his mother's terminal illness and funeral arrangements (something about a suspicious benefactor).
Anyway, Jo barely returns to duty and he ends up lead investigator on a horrific, high-profile serial killer case. Garbage bags turn up at different locations in Seoul, and not just any garbage bags--clearly the extra-strong, non-leak bags because it usually takes getting run over by traffic or dragged by the wheel of a shopping cart before their ghastly contents get revealed. These dumpster bags contain severed body parts from multiple…
A South Korean serial killer mystery, deeply infused with rain-drenched Seven influence. Missing the charismatic leads or extra...something that made its inspiration so engrossing; perhaps the pace is too even and relaxed. But Tell Me Something balances out its dips with some twisted giallo depravity and more than a few moments of grisly gore.
It was like the cinema gods saw inside my head and delivered exactly the movie I wanted to see tonight. American serial killer thriller tropes filtered through South Korean aesthetic and a couple show stopping bloody gore gags. Not streaming and trapped on dvd but deserves better.
Su-yeon: "I don't remember the past. I don't even have photos. It's so hard to talk about all that.
You'll probably get to know so many things about me."
Detective Cho: "Is that hard for you?"
Su-yeon: "Yes, but it's harder not to be able to trust anyone."
Oh sweetie: she got you good.
He totally and completely fell for her innocent charm.
I loved the score and soundtrack: it reminded me of something like Urban Legend or May. Just solid entertainment with an attractive cast and some compelling twists and turns. I can't say I blame the girl for turning out to be disturbed after what she went through. Han Suk-kyu and Shim Eun-ha are born to be…
Very good whodunnit serial killer movie from Korea.
Thx to Steph_h who suggested it to me.
Competently made and well performed with couple of good scenes. You can see exactly where it's going from the beginning but at least getting there is mostly fun..
tem uma descente construção visual de mundo - que remete diretamente a seven -, mas não consegue preencher esse espaço com personagens - principalmente o detetive - e uma trama de suspense à altura. as revelações finais são anticlimáticas demais.
I have seen TELL ME SOMETHING many times, and I get a special joy showing it to film friends who especially like extremely dark and grisly detective stories. I can't tell you the number of times that someone in the group, when the end credits appear, howls out, "What?!"
I understand why TELL ME SOMETHING is often associated with SE7EN. However, for me, it feels more closely akin to Paul Verhoeven's BASIC INSTINCT ... except that it has a lot of gore in place of nudity. For me, the film has exactly the same sense of unreality. Mostly, this falls under "missing the obvious." However, each time that I think this is the fault of slipshod writing, it has a…
