This horror-comedy follows eight delinquent young adults (think Breakfast Club but with worse life choices) sent to do community service in a remote California forest under the watchful eye of Ranger Bob. The plot tosses in an escaped serial killer for about five minutes of fake tension before pivoting to a killer grizzly bear who’s apparently got a vendetta against bad stereotypes. Spoiler: the bear’s the real star. 
The characters are a parade of eye-rolling cliches that make you root for the bear. There’s the neo-Nazi who they want you to think is tough, the Paris Hilton wannabe who’s dumb…

Неожиданно узнал об этом фильме из данного видоса. Он его будто сразу же продал, ибо уже с завязки очевидно, что это будет весело.

"Гризли парк" - забытый зоо-хоррор, который сейчас является отличной капсулой времени. Создаётся ощущение, что природу в хоррорах нулевых снимали всегда по-особенному. Сейчас такого точно не встретишь, а до нулевых подобное не наблюдалось. Именно в этой эпохе прослеживается самый явный для меня флёр беззаботной студенческой жизни, когда ты после учёбы идёшь ебашиться с друзьями, после чего заходишь в местный прокат, выбирая какой-нибудь трэшак, что уже по названию и обложке тебя заинтриговал, после чего идёшь домой, запасаешься жратвой и вставляешь диск в DVDшник. Ну сказка же!

Но как бы ни был ностальгичен этот фильм, есть у него одна не…

An extremely silly, funny, ridiculous, and hence quite enjoyable piece of utter tosh concerning eight young adult troublemakers who are assigned to do community service at a California national forest preserve who wind up running afoul of a ferocious predatory bear in the area. Yep, this premise is all kinds of dumb and preposterous, but fortunately writer/director Tom Skull doesn't take said asinine premise too seriously and instead wisely includes a slyly amusing sense of self-mocking humor that's capped off by a real doozy of a surprise twist ending.
