Im a little stumped with this one not gonna lie.

There are aspects in here that i really like and find appealing, legitimate reasons for why a film like this is highly regarded, but something didn’t fully connect all the way for me to love it as much as i wanted to. The score and performances are great, they keep your attention off of those alone, even the dialogue(though you may have to use subtitles to fully understand) was pleasing…

Kane Parsons you young bastard

This is trippy, this is uncomfortable and this is claustrophobic as fuck….and i loved it. Who knew that a small 10 min creation from Youtube would turn into something as grand as this. For all of the OG backrooms fans you’re gonna get just about everything that you want. Also wowed with how well the hidden themes that doesn’t shy away from current conversations and stories of unresolved trauma were wrapped into this as well…

Not gonna lie man, i know this movie will be controversial, and i know some won’t be able to stomach the plot for obvious reasons…but in the words of a whispering Dwyane Wade, “i love it”. That edge and controversy fuels me. Art is supposed to get people talking whether good or bad, but in this case for me, it’s not only good…it’s just about great.
