failed challenges challenge // (13/171)
failed task - film from a franchise that has 5 or more sequels
the most followable and watchable film in the franchise, for sure. there some funny moments and an actual worthwhile attempt at a plot, which i was extremely surprised by. for the first two acts of the the film i was actually moderately invested in the characters and where the story was going, but in the third act the movie just goes to a really weird place, and the ending makes no sense. this deterred the actual enjoyment i was having for the first time ever in the leprechaun series. never thought i'd ever be writing those words in a review lmao. so, i guess to sum it up, it's still much better than the rest of the installments thus far, but strange plot developments and poor direction ultimately bog it down and somewhat ruin it. which is a shame because it was fun up until the ending scenes. there also weren't really any good deaths in this one, they were mostly all stupid or not even shown on screen, just heard. but i never thought i'd hear a leprechaun rap, so i guess we're really all winners here, huh?
