Ziglet_mir’s review published on Letterboxd:
Third viewing of this sci-fi classic. It’s a damn shame we don’t get more Kane or Brett, although they have their iconic moments. On a rewatch it’s great to focus on new “little” things or analyze themes you’ve heard from others before on their reviews. For example, how one can see parts of the human condition in each of at least the first three Alien films. Here, it’s about strengthening and adapting when necessary; growing when the time calls for it because things don’t always go according to plan AND/OR things may not be what they appear to be. Ripley learns that in multiple instances here with the alien (obviously) and Ash.
Biggest takeaway:
It’s surprising but I feel like this doesn’t hold up as amazing as it did in my head. Goes from 4.5 to 4.
