Once I realised this article wasn't about 'Deforestation' I was so happy and pleased with myself, because I did actually know what 'Defenestration' meant. I now just can't remember where I first read it. I'm thinking it was in Alexander McCall Smith's 44 Scotland Street series. I'll report back. Much Love, Gareth (of the 93% club, probably) xx
Well I'm shocked! After reading this yesterday afternoon I innocently went to bed last night and picked up my current reading book and low and behold a man with that special talent featured in one chapter - and I can assure you that a man doing that is not something that was in my mind until I read it here yesterday!!!!
It’s not an illusion it’s quite logical, for example whenever you get a new car you suddenly see the same car all over the place but you never noticed them before, they were always there you just didn’t notice and now you do cos your attention has been brought to them, simples! Also I lived on the South Side as a student in the 90s, moved from the West End as cheaper, not scary and these days there’s Pacific Quay and the Science Centre when I lived there that was all a disused dry dock.
I had a teacher at primary school (back in the very early 90s) who said if we didn't behave he would defenestrate us obviously being 10 years old we weren't sure what that meant. After a few months we decided to look it up in a dictionary to find out exactly what it was that would happen if we didn't behave! He was a nice teacher and we were fairly sure he wouldn't do it but we were a very well behaved class 🤣
I speed read the end and thought I had misinterpreted the meaning of defenestration and thought you meant it related to the 7% of men thing (so I Googled the meaning in secret mode). Now I'm intrigued as to what the word is that means the 7% thing - I'm not going to Google it because God know what that search would reveal!
For the 7%, EVERY weekend is lovely....

I think it's called synchronicity. You'll keep seeing that word now.
